Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Account data (for photographers and service providers): name in Arabic and English, email address, WhatsApp number, and password — the password is stored only as a one-way hash that no one, including the THURW team, can read.
- Profile data you choose to add: bio, country, region and city, gender, years of experience, specializations, social links, profile and cover photos, and portfolio photos, videos and video links.
- Contact-form messages visitors send to a photographer: the sender's name, the contact detail they enter, the message text, and their IP address (used only to limit spam).
- Live chat between a photographer and the THURW team.
- Usage statistics: profile view counts and which pages were viewed, without identifying visitors, and a log of actions taken on your own account.
- Site search terms: stored without any link to a person or IP address, only to improve category ordering.
- Mobile app: a sign-in token stored securely on your device, and a device name if one is sent.
- Cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and remembers your language, and your light/dark theme preference in your browser. We use no tracking or advertising cookies.
What is public
- THURW exists to showcase photographers' work, so once your profile is published it is visible to everyone: name, bio, city, specializations, portfolio, social links, and the WhatsApp contact button (and your number through it).
- Your email address and password are never shown publicly.
Location data in your photos
- Every image uploaded to the platform is re-processed, which removes the metadata embedded in it, including the GPS coordinates cameras and phones record.
How we use data
- To run the platform, display published profiles, and let clients contact photographers.
- To send account emails (welcome, password reset, messages from the THURW team).
- To prevent spam and abuse.
- For aggregate statistics that help improve the service.
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Third parties
- The hosting provider the platform runs on, and the email delivery provider.
- Google Fonts: when you visit the website (not the app), font files are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
- YouTube and Vimeo: when a photographer adds a video link from either service, the video or its thumbnail loads from their servers when the profile is opened.
Deleting your account and data
- You can delete your account at any time from account settings on the website or in the app. This removes your account, profile, portfolio, all your uploaded files, and the messages linked to it from the platform.
- Copies may remain in the hosting provider's routine backups for a limited time before they are overwritten.
Your rights
- You can view and edit your data at any time from your dashboard or the app, and delete it by deleting your account. For any other request about your data, contact us at the address below.
Updates
- We may update this policy; the date of the latest update appears at the top of this page.
